French artistry meets tribal heritage

Taking inspiration from Gauguin’s genius – an artist who spent many years in French Polynesia, as well as the surrounding tropical gardens, the new interior design of the Sofitel Tahiti’s 216 rooms uses vibrant colours and striking contrasts.

Bougainvillea-inspired bedspreads combine with exclusively designed curtains, boasting the words of Gauguin. Unique fabrics unite the artistry of French design house Robert Le Heros, with tribal motifs and artworks that reflect the island’s proud Tahitian traditions.

Each room offers a plasma TV with satellite, internet access and the ultimate comfort of Sofitel’s patented MyBed. The private balconies with outdoor chairs and tables offer sparkling views over the lagoon to the lush green of Moorea, or a peaceful outlook over the tropical gardens or mountains.
